Trading
Standards Institute
www.tsi.org.ukCrescent Events is working with the Trading Standards Institute to plan and deliver their annual conference & exhibition up until 2010. It is a tremendous honour for us to be working in tandem with TSI and to have been afforded the opportunity to continue working with them in the foreseeable future.
This event has grown considerably in size over recent years due to the hard work of the team at Crescent Events with 76 exhibitors participating in the first year of Crescent Events involvement to a staggering 130 in 2007. Attendance has now exceeded 3000 attendees during the three day event and it is expected this will continue to rise in the coming years.
Crescent Events has sole responsibility for the delivery of the event and is involved in every aspect from the initial design concept, exhibition planning and sales, mini theatre and advertising sales, sponsorship sales and ensuring that the tough income targets are met. We are also involved in ensuring that catering, av, artwork and design, printed materials, speakers (including many celebrity presenters), security, stage set and audio visual, hotel accomodation, exhibition management, signage, photography, entertainment, promotional items, social activities and events and much much more… are all organised and delivered to the highest standard. We are particularly focused on risk assessment and health and safety needs at all events.
Multi-national organisations, senior decision makers in business and commerce, government ministers, members of parliament local and national government voluntary sector organisations all participate at Europe's leading consumer affairs event and it is exciting being involved with key decision makers in the country.
Microsoft Limited
www.microsoft.comCrescent Events was contracted to develop and manage a summer party night on behalf of Microsoft Limited.
The party night had to be a fun-filled event for over 400 guests with lots of food, drink and dancing and all to raise money for Microsoft's chosen charity, The Rainbow Trust.
The event certainly proved to be a success. The venue was in an Edinburgh brewery so the drink element was easily remedied! The Scottish theme was a great novelty to the English, Welsh and Irish guests, especially as it was a ceilidh with a twist, with the appearance of The Gutty Slippers. Magicians, stilt-walkers and caricaturists all provided fantastic table entertainment and the combination of traditional and disco dancing ensured that every guest had a fantastic and memorable evening.
The event was so successful in 2003, we have been asked to organise it again and again and again! - and our clients have just enjoyed themselves at a Salsa Party Night in Central London – which was very enjoyable and great fun!
FMC Technologies
www.fmctechnologies.co.ukA recent highlight for Crescent Events was being asked to assist FMC Technologies with their 30th Anniversary celebrations. The Dunfermline based company wanted to thank their employees and international guests for 30 years of hard work so the event had to incorporate something for everyone and in style!
The Edinburgh International Conference Centre was the venue and with a range of entertainment to suit all tastes, we definitely celebrated! Entertainment included a piper, a duo, magicians, caricaturists, a casino and jazz trio and the extraordinary Elaine C Smith. Never before have we seen so much laughter from an audience – Elaine had them eating out of her hands. She was absolutely fantastic!
The international aspect of the company (a USA owned company with a Norwegian sister company) gave us lots of ideas so we incorporated national dishes into each of the three courses in a unique food trio – a resounding success with all!
To end the evening every guest received a special piece of 30th anniversary birthday cake together with other mementos of the celebration. It was an anniversary that will never be forgotten!
Eurosafe
www.eurosafe.eu.comBased in The Netherlands, Eurosafe, the European Association for Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion, is the network of injury prevention champions dedicated to making Europe a safer place.Having worked with Eurosafe to deliver a conference in Edinburgh in 2005 and producing, along with other elements of their event, the artwork and design and marketing materials for that particular event, Eurosafe then approached Crescent Events to design the artwork, not only for their 2006 conference in Vienna, but also to design and produce their new corporate logo and identity and promotional material. We were delighted to work with Eurosafe on the various aspects of their development.
